The legs are double tapered using a table saw, sleigh guide, jointer, and sander. The inner frame is joined with mortise and tenon joints using power and Japanese hand saws. The legs protrude through the top in a way similar to craftsman style furniture. It also resembles the gem holding prongs on a ring. The joints are hand cut slightly wide to allow for
